Covers for a multi-volume architecture reference series. The main challenge was to maintain a cohesive series identity while ensuring flexibility for variations, all without compromising the structural integrity of the design.
Clean and straightforward solutions highlight the key release information, paired with simple geometric shapes that directly reference architectural forms and potential layout variations, including circles. Color helps distinguish each release—while a color may be repeated across issues, its combination with specific shapes is always unique.
The dynamic right block of the cover comes in several variations but consistently adheres to its designated position within the grid system, strictly following its rules.
For this project, the TT Ramillas typeface was chosen—an elegant transitional serif perfectly adapted to modern demands and realities. The idea behind TT Ramillas was an experiment: to create a modern serif with meticulously balanced details, rethinking traditional forms and carefully crafting each glyph with the utmost precision. The result speaks for itself — a refined and versatile typeface that perfectly complements the architectural theme of the series.
